Insect screens in Onslow County.
Anyone with a porch near the White Oak River or the marsh behind Topsail knows the drill: the sunset is perfect for about ten minutes, and then the biting midges find you. Wilmington Awning installs motorized insect screens that seal the porch at the push of a button — mesh fine enough to stop the bugs standard screening can't, with the breeze still flowing through.
Pick your mesh
Mesh that matches the pest.
What's biting depends on where in the county you live. A backyard in Richlands or Piney Green mostly fights mosquitoes; a waterfront porch in Swansboro or a creekside deck in Hubert deals with midges small enough to walk through regular screening. Wilmington Awning matches the weave to your spot and custom-fits each screen to your porch, patio, or outdoor kitchen.
- Mosquito Screen (16×14) — the standard weave for solid all-around protection against mosquitoes and larger flying insects.
- No-See-Um Screen (17×20) — a finer mesh engineered to block the midges and sand flies that pass straight through ordinary screening.
- Motorized operation — lower and raise from a remote or wall switch; no panels to wrestle, nothing to store.
- Custom-fit framing — built to your exact openings so there are no gaps for insects to find.
