Home/Accordion Shutters/Pender County
Serving Hampstead & Topsail Island
Accordion shutters in Pender County.
On Topsail Island, storm prep often has a deadline: secure the house, then get across the swing bridge or the causeway before conditions close in. Wilmington Awning installs Bertha high-velocity accordion shutters that unfold across windows and doors in minutes and lock tight against wind and debris — so a Surf City or Topsail Beach home is buttoned up long before the evacuation traffic peaks, and reopened just as fast when you're back.
Storm protection, Pender County
Always mounted, always ready.
Accordion shutters live permanently beside each opening, so there's never a scramble. Hinged aluminum blades run on top and bottom tracks and pull shut like a folding screen — even the big sliders on an oceanfront deck close in moments. Nothing to haul out of storage, nothing to carry up the stairs of a piling home, nothing to hunt for when the forecast shifts toward the Cape Fear coast.
Every system Wilmington Awning installs is high-quality aluminum with a durable electrostatic paint finish and a saltwater-rated locking system you can secure from inside or outside — a genuine advantage for Topsail Island vacation rentals that need to be lockable from the outside between guests. Off-season, accordions add security to homes that sit empty for weeks, cut heat and glare, and hush the wind on exposed lots.
